The WeGrow Co Market Garden

We manage our Market Garden centred around your Veg Box; producing a variety of vegetables and fruits using minimal tillage and season extension to provide high quality produce throughout the growing season. We also keep a small flock of free range chickens. We divert food waste from our partner social enterprise cafes (MeCycle and A Great Little Place) and other organic waste from our farm, producing compost which enriches our soil and keeps our crops healthy and happy.

We work alongside other local growers, producers and suppliers and are working towards building a resilient local food economy with more traceability to keep your Veg Box diverse and full year round, while offering valuable work placement opportunities to those we support within Social Enterprise.

You can visit our Farm Shop on Radnor Drive, Churchtown where you can browse our range of Fruit and Vegetables, Pantry, Gifts and Seasonal Products. We can harvest fresh produce for you directly from our Market Garden.

Social Enterprise at Autism Initiatives

We Grow Co is a one third of a partnership of Social Enterprises, working alongside Mecycle offering People We Support work experience in Bicycle Mechanics and Hospitality, and A Great Little Place an award winning Cafe offering People We Support work experience in Catering and Hospitality. Social Enterprise exists to provide meaningful work experience opportunities for young people with Autism, focusing on creating a supportive and inclusive workplace.

Currently, only 32% of autistic adults are employed, compared to 47% of all disabled individuals and 80% of non-disabled individuals (NAS, 2016). At Autism Initiatives, our Social Enterprises aim to change this by offering personalised work placements within our enterprises.
